Reading The Concept of History
one to four readers/transcribers
While silently reading Hannah Arendt's "The Concept of History", short excerpts are freely read aloud while pitch transcriptions for select words are performed. Flexible in its realization, the four sections of the essay may be read linearly or superimposed by four readers/transcribers, while one or more recordings of reading/transcription of the four sections may be substituted for any one or more readers/transcribers.
